Artist's Comments

OK so this is the finished drawing of my flamenco WIP's. It's finally done! I had a lot of difficulties with the arm in the back (the one that isn't visible). I had to ask my family, friends, and even called my Art Proffeser from Coral Springs Museum of Art for some advice on it. Charles (my teacher) said that it looked fine but he did give me some good tips on how to work it to look well, and how to work with the pastel as well.

The is actually my first time really using pastel in a drawing. It was definitly something new, and I know i could have done better, but am very happy with the color and overall result.

Materials used :
nupastel red
graphite pencils- 2b 4b 2h HB 9b F
Crescent Illustration board

Total time: oh lets say about 15 hrs at the most.

My next drawing, what i'm working on now, is also a flamenco drawing, but it's a close up on the face, and is focused mainly on her hands and arms. I will also be adding some color to the as well (did anyone say... purple?)
